I install Ubuntu 14.04 beta and the problem is still here.
This force me to continue in windows 7 and really a wish to use Ubuntu in my
everyday work.
I don't want to anybody fix this problem for me. I only want to know
where is the packet is responsible of this.

Is this anywhere nearer to being resolved? I find this highly
irritating. And the fact is I don't want to use Shift instead of Caps
Lock. I'm used to my method, and I don't understand why Ubuntu has to be
different to basically every other OS on this issue, it only irritates
people.

SAme problem. I was taught to use shift key but somewhere along the line
changed to caps lock.
TYping speed potential can be higher for some people using caps lock
because it avoids the process requiring the brain to perform a
simultaneous key press.

Pretty sad to see this has been reported 2 years ago and yet not fixed (or
at-least improved).
THis (ugh, This) problem is a real pain for people who are used to capitalize
using CAPS-LOCK, especially when writing passwords (where you can't actually
see what you type, and then make mistakes like
This is not the case for me, I still have this problem although my Caps
LOck key enables when I press it and disables with a second one. It is
only detectable when you are typing something really fast, like your
name with capitalized first letters, or your password if it has caps.

On my computer capitalization is also enabled on press, but disabled on
release. This seems inconsistent, so I'm going to mark this issue as
confirmed. But I don't know what package is responsible of this.

On my 1005ha, it enables capitalization on press, but disables it on
release, so sometimes I'll just make a typo where I double-capitalize
the first word of a sentence. LIke this.

This is also a bit of a problem for me in a bit of a strange way too...
I generally use vim for editing files, so to exit out of a file, I use
:wq - I tend to end up on a regular basis writing
:Wq instead of :wq
This is only happening on my laptop, and it's pretty darned annoying.
