This happens to an Acer Aspire 3650 laptop as well. But apparently the
problem is that the driver does not handle interrupts well. So each time
I load the ath5k module it gets 20001 interrupts and then dmesg reports
about an unhandled interrupt.

disconnected every 2 minutes.

I'm having similar difficulties (not precisely the same, but similar
enough that for now I'll assume it's the same bug).
I'm using Jaunty. My connection is disassociated immediately (I never
see the four bars). It works fine in 2.6.28-14 (I'm using it right this
moment), and must have been working
