could you install libglib2.0-0-dbg and get a new gdb log? the valgrind
log has no crash

although i can't create a zip file within Nautilus through context menu
or by drag'n dropping a file into a file-roller window and selecting
zip, it worked following instructions concerning valgrind ("Start the
program under control of memcheck") !
