Basically blacklist modules rt2800pci, rt2800lib, rt2x00pci, rt2x00lib and
rt2x00usb and restart either the rt2860sta module or the computer.

I've got the same problem too. It's realy critical.
I can't connect with my Asus EeePC 1000H (RaLink RT2860) rt2860sta.ko driver
(kernel version 2.6.32-21-generic Lucid 10.04) to 802.11g WPA2-PSK-TKIP+CCMP
network (Asus WL-500Gp access point). (neither from network manager nor from
command line)
@bomagainpenguin -- Have you tried to manually configure wireless
adapter using iwconfig command from a shell prompt? I have not tried
Lucid yet, but that has worked for me on several other distros including
different flavors of Ubuntu. Once the connection is established the

I manually used the iwconfig command to set "key" and "essid".
Next I configured a connection using network manager. This time the

The 2009-09-30 Live Karmic Netbook Remix does boot into the Gnome
"remix" desktop. From the network manager, a WEP encrypted connection
CAN be made using the rt2860sta module on a MSI Wind U100 netbook.

The daily build from 2009-09-29 will not even boot on my MSI Wind U100
(from USB thumb drive). I have tried several options in creating the
flash drive (usb creator, unetbootin, fusbi, manually copying the files,
etc) and have even tried to boot in safe graphics mode, but the furthest
