The problem is that in the menu file (e.g. .local/share/applications
/alacarte-made-3.desktop) has multiple entries for the icon. Changing
the icon in alacarte changes the "Icon[en_US]" entry, which appears in

The bug is always present in Lucid UNE with up to date packages.
When I change an icon with "alacarte" menu editor, the icon in Favorites
remains the original one.

I had the same problem: What I did to come across this is I change the
icon in the menu editor it doesn't do anythig to the icon used in
favorites.
My research shows that the problem is that the .desktop fil
