Title:
extremly crashy on paste
--
ubuntu-bugs
This hasn't been fixed. I'm using OpenOffice 1.3 in kubuntu 10.04.2
LTS.
It crashes 100% of the time if I try to paste into an application
written in Java. The rest of the time is is about 75% crashing when
copying and pasting into another application.

Just a "me too" comment -- I had repeated crashes this afternoon from
hitting CTRL-v to paste text copied from OO.org Writer into a web form
in Evolution.

Here is a valgrind trace I got with this command:
valgrind /usr/lib/openoffice/program/soffice.bin
Unlike the other valgrind runs available in this bug report, this one seems
useful.
Unfortunately line numbers are not show in openoffice libraries.

I can reproduce this bug very easily at will:
1. open an evolution mail composition window
2. start oowriter and type a word
3. select this word with the mouse
4. middle-clic in the evolution window
Backtrace attached.
This is in edgy with the following package versions:
Package: openoffice.org
I initially noticed the bug when I was using using version
2.0.4_rc3-0ubuntu2 on edgy. After the 2.0.4_rc3-0ubuntu3 update, I am
still affected by the problem. When I attempt to paste, Writer simply
closes. Upon relaunch of Writer, it prompts me to recover the file that
was open during the crash
- unreproducible on edgy, version 2.0.4~rc3-0ubuntu3
- is this reproducible with 2.0.3 from dapper-proposed?

OO crashes for me everytime i highlight data and try to paste it into
GAIM with a middle click. It also clicks when I attempt a normal copy
and pate into GAIM.

This has occurred for me the past three times I have tried to paste from
an OO.o document, saved in .doc format, into an evolution message.
The last time, OO.o told me to attach this file:
/var/crash/_usr_lib_openoffice_program_soffice.bin.1.crash

I'm seeing this pasting from OOo Writer to Evolution. See attachment
for info. I'll get a backtrace just as soon as I can build a debug
package (would be very useful if that was provided in Synaptic,
especially for something as huge as OpenOffice).
Also, not sure but I think Bug #62432 may be a
