I am having the same problem with the Courier New font in Google docs
not showing up as a fixed width / monospace font in my firefox 2.x
browser in Ubuntu.
I downloaded the fonts.config file provided above, but I do not have
root access on the machine and therefore cannot install the file as
/etc/
Tagged as mt-needtester since it seems its a font issue on some pages no
real need for a testcase AFAICT

Tested on Feisty, with page [1]. No problem with fonts, so I guess it's
not an issue in Feisty anymore. Can anyone confirm this?

The problem was apparently solved on 6.10, but seems to have resurfaced
on 7.04; changed status to "New" temporarily -- until David Farning has
a chance to review and decide on appropriate next steps.

Hi -- it looks like this issue has resurfaced on 7.04. (I had to
manually add the /etc/fonts/local.conf workaround to fix this on two
machines.)
