I am closing this issue. If you can still reproduce this on Karmic with
karmic-backports version of digikam (1.0.0 rc or final), feel free to
reopen the bug.

I have uploaded beta5 to backports ppa, so that users of KDE 4.3.2 will
not have the issue. I will close this bug when beta5 builds in the ppa
(and replaces beta3 which is there).

I won't find out until I install Karmic. This was a show-stopper for me
with KDE4.3 on Jaunty, so I had to revert to 4.2/

This is know issue: digikam has to be rebuild with KDE 4.3 libraries. Do
