This shouldn't be a problem any more now that the partitioning and mount
point selection screens have been merged in Feisty.
The previous two comments pertain to bug 67130, not this bug.

This bug was reported long time ago, but I'm trying the Edgy release
candidate desktop disk and the bug is here: the installer doesn't
continue and it says that there's no root partition. I don't want to
erase the partitions.
