This bug report is being closed due to your last comment regarding this being
fixed with an update. For future reference you can manage the status of your
own bugs by clicking on the current status in the yellow line and then choosing
a new status in the revealed drop down
Sorry for answering so late. I didn't have my laptop with me in the
last month, so I couldn't test it. With lucid lynx the keys are
working fine. To unsubscibe I tried getting into the account on
launchpad, but I don't seem to be able to.
Dunno if you can mark the problem as solved or something.
We'd like to figure out what's causing this bug for you, but we haven't
heard back from you in a while. Could you please provide the requested

I just tested with an karmic alpha 2 live cd:
The brightness keys are reacting but both keys randomly do nothing (but the
flickering described in #368506) or switch with the following behaviour:
Using the "brightness up" key I randomly get the darkest or the
