Probably not, the NetworkManager plugin supports IPsec VPNs using the
newer IKEv2 protocol. The protocol is currently supported by a few
vendors only,

but unable to connect to my VPN using a passphrase :/

I've seen this too.
I'm looking to connect my ubuntu laptop to an ipsec VPN. Is network-
manager-strongswan the correct VPN package to be using and if so, what
of this dependency issue.
