yes, considering all the problems I had just getting my maudio soundcard
to finally work- when it at least worked in Hardy LTS and the non rt
version of Karmic. Then pulse audio server won't start even after
following the steps in the pulse audio forum sticky pages...

Are you still facing problems with the latest version of pulse audio in Karmic?
Pulseaudio has improved a lot in Karmic.and some of the problem described dont
arise anymore

Thank you for bringing this bug to our attention. However, a paper cut
should be a small usability issue, in the default Ubuntu install, that
affects many people and is quick and easy to fix. So this bug can't be
addressed as part of this project.
For further information about papercuts criteria,
