Hi Jeremy,
I haven't experienced that bug since the day I reported it. It seemed to be
related to the kernel version at the time.
Ever since my webcam has been working fine.

Had the same exact problem. Just noticed today that my webcam is dead.
I rebooted using the 2.6.28-13 kernel, and the webcam started working again.
then rebooted to the recent kernel (2.6.28-15) and now it works...
