i am new user of Linux Ubuntu, so i dont know exactly how to reinstal
the KERNEL. but my updates continue to charging. so , i must wait till
the end of updates to see if there is another problem. thanks for help.

Hi leann,
thanks for the update. The system was hanginbg during the update and I had
to hard-reset my laptop. When I restarted I re-started the update and
everything has been fine since. I've also had another couple of upgrades
without any problems.

Your DpkgTerminalLog.gz file seem to confirm that update-grub was
canceled and likely resulted in your grub menu.lst file not updating.
What if you try reinstalling the kernel? Thanks.
