Well, why couldn't the ubiquity-frontend-gtk package add the ubiquity-
gtk icon in the icon theme and link to it? Other frontend packages can
fix it later independently, and people using the GTK frontend will be
able to customize the icon without forking the frontend.

The window icon can't be
I looked into this. The current situation is complicated.
* The KDE frontend properly installs 'ubiquity' icons into the icon theme.
But that icon is KDE-specific.
* The GTK frontend installs its icon to the pixmaps directory and directly
references it.
* The Mythbuntu frontend also install
