Marking incomplete. The bug reporter worked around using OSS4, so if
there was an ALSA issue with this particular card, it didn't really get
fixed. In case someone has same problem, please provide the information

Well, I believe you have provided enough information to remove the
incomplete tag. I still would like to know if you were able to turn up
your volume after typing the command alsamixer. Again, I hope you take
time to visit the Ubuntu Forums I previously mentioned as you wait for
this bug to get f

up on master.

Running the three commands I suggested caused to to lose sound? Those
commands shouldn't do anything but display information. They also give
three separate outputs. Could you attach all three separate outputs?

If you've converted to OSS4, you need to be sure to install phonon-gstreamer
and prefer it in the KDE system settings (or with the 'qtconfig' command)
In Kubuntu, use the 'gstreamer-properties' command to select the desired
gstreamer backend.
