Sort of, this is something I would like to see improved for Lucid. I
think currently Salut is enabled by default if you have set your
personal information (name, etc) up in evolution or gnome-about-me.
Which most people never do, so they have to go into empathy, set it and
enable salut. It would
is that still an issue?

IIRC, Empathy is supposed to automatically create a Salut account but
that seems to be broken.
