We haven't heard from you for a while, and the bug seems to be fixed in
the latest development version of Inkscape so I'll close this report.
If you still experience the same problem after upgrading, please feel
free to reopen the bug report by changing its status from "Invalid" to
"New" in the sel
I don't seem to have any copy/paste issues with the latest development
version of inkscape 0.47 in karmic. Please could you try upgrading to
the latest version and let us know if you still experience this bug?

A pre-release of the upcoming Inkscape 0.47 is now available in Ubuntu
Karmic for testing. Because *so* much stuff has changed compared with
the version you reported your bug against, would you mind re-testing
this new version and see if this bug is now resolved?
