Hi, I don't really know. But in the mean time I tried some older versions of me-TV and succeded with 0.5.33 which scanned without crashing. One station name was WDR Köln which contains a german 'umlaut' (special character) and I suspect if it is not in UTF-8 it might be either ISO-8859-1 or ISO
