The sysfs new_id hack also works perfecly for me on a 3CRWE154G72 PCMCIA
card.
¿Is there any way to make this change persistent between reboots without
recompiling the kernel?.
The prism54 needs to be loaded before setting the pci-id to the sysfs
node.

Adding the ID manually worked perfectly. The id 10b7:6001 needs to be
removed from the islsm_pci driver and added back to the prism54 driver
in the Ubuntu kernel.

2.6.15-18 works just fine for me. I blacklisted islsm_pci and the card
completely stopped working in -25.
In -18 it uses prism54 and all is fine. Were some of these pci id
removals done the wrong way?
My card is 10b7:6001 (3Com officeconnect 11g), and it definitely should
be in the prism54 list,
I too have a 3Com® OfficeConnect® Wireless 11g PC Card (3CRWE154G72)
version 1.0 PCMCIA card and have not been able to get this working since
upgrading to Dapper. It worked great under Breezy.
