Do you have this issue on the stock karmic kernel as well? The mainline
kernels as of now are based on jaunty's config and just adding i915
modeset=1 is not sufficent to enable KMS properly on them. It would be
interesting to hear your results if you could try with the karmic's
2.6.30-7.8 that is -
One more thing: We would also like to have xorg.conf,
/var/log/Xorg.0.log and the output of `lspci -vvnn` attached to this
bug.

Thank you for testing the new KMS feature and helping to resolve the
bugs in it before it hits the crowd. For bugs that are triggered by
resume from suspend or hibernate it could be useful to see the
difference between the registers before and after the cycle.
