Mine runs fine then on screen refresh wallpaper change,Beryl,etc Sometimes just disappears slot is there but no icon or right click options. Never noticed if it comes back after hours? Using checkgmail instead it has it's own bugs. Like cannot click on link features to mark,delete,etc... But does

I noticed the same problem. I started gmail-notify in the terminal and it seems that the tray icon does not refresh while it is trying to connect. Hence if it can't connect the icon doesn't get redrawn for a plausibly very long time. Mine generally comes back after a while but its annoying. -- No
