I think that most appropriate application is Firefox. On Ubuntu CD no
application supports flash, but most of users install flash plugin after
installation.

SWF is an application which executes in virtual machine, but not a video
stream. It can embed video and audio. But, for example, Java can embed it too,
let's open it in Totem!
Anyway, Totem doesn't support 'application/x-shockwave-flash' and shouldn't be
associated with it.
