How exactly should the fix work?
After breaking my upgrade from 9.04 to 9.10, unetbootin (and all prerequisite
packages) was not installed.
I installed the package manually, but still the same error (vol_id not found)
occures.

I've fixed this as of upstream release 356, Debian unstable should have
a package soon (which will fix this bug in the Ubuntu package once it's
imported into karmic).

I cannot install package linux-image-2.6.30-5-generic because
/sbin/vol_id not found. I tried to install udev but dpkg can't resolve
this problem to continue .
