The problem was fixed by the latest update that was just released.
I am not sure what changed, but Firefox is rendering everything
correctly. apt-cache shows 0.30.0+repack-0netbook2 was upgraded from
0.27.0+repack-0netbook2

attach the output of `lspci -vvnn`, and attach your /var/log/Xorg.0.log or

Well, my computer prompted me for updates and this bug now appears to be
fixed.
While I did not see any similar bugs reported, this must have been on
somebody's list. Thank you.

I realized that I had taken the first screen shot of Firefox 3.5 b4.
