this bug has a patch presented in bug # 323901
didn't know which to mark as "duplicate" so I'll leave that to someone
else.
And for those wondering, if you look closely at the patch you'll see
that where it has "-" signs you take out the relevant line, where it has
"+" signs you add the relevant

I have also had the same problem. This is for a new install of 9.04.
I also will have to go back to using the mirror option.

I have the exact same problem... this is a machine which I upgraded from
intrepid to jaunty.
I had created VMs in intrepid using the same method and it had worked
OK... but I don't know python and don't even know where or how thie
'isodir' variable should be declared :-(
