I think I was wrong, I mistook the absence of function for the num pad
cause there is a small delay before the mouse starts moving so it only
seems that it doesn't work.

In case anyone wants to repro this bug, the functionality referred to
above can be activated using the checkbox "Preferences::Keyboard::Mouse
Keys::Pointer Can be controlled using the keypad".
@Nicklas, can you please attach sw / hw data to the bug report by running the
command:
apport-collect 37
You are right, the pesudo mouse works whether or not the num lock is
activated.

I can confirm this bug for xorg 1:7.4~5ubuntu18 and GNOME 2.26.1 on a
Dell Inspiron 1520 laptop running Ubuntu 9.04 with Linux kernel
2.6.28-12-generic.
