I've got the same problem and hassle with that on Seagate drives. First I also
switched cables and even bought a new drive; here and then I'm active on
debian/ubuntu irc as helper, nobodey there nor in #hardware gave any helpfull
hint.

This bug report is being closed because the issue is not reproducible by
the reporter. For future reference you can manage the status of your own
bugs by clicking on the current status in the yellow line and then
choosing a new status in the revealed drop down box.
Sorry that I haven't informed you, but I am new using other machine and the
problem on this one doesn't appear.
