Even though I was able to start it by setting SHELL='/bin/bash' and by
using "Run a custom program", I consider this bug far from being
fixed...

are able to make it work with one or another workaround.

did the trick.
After it, I was able to configure it's launch using even zsh

Oh, I was under the impression that ‘sudo apt-get purge tilda’ would do
that automatically.
OK, I did ‘rm -frv ~/.tilda’ and now my Tilda works fine.

I ran ‘sudo apt-get purge tilda && sudo apt-get install tilda’ and it
still doesn’t work.
I tried ‘SHELL="/bin/bash" tilda’ and it still didn’t work.
I’m not sure what update broke my Tilda installation, but I’m forced to
use Yakuake until it is fixed.
Running 64-bit Jaunty, fully updated.

tilda will also segfault on you if your config files somehow get munged-
look in ~/.tilda and make sure you don't suddenly have a second config
file.

tilda does not work well with some shell (the one in the SHELL variable), try
SHELL="/bin/bash" tilda
a workaround is to use the option "run a custom command".
