When logged in hibernate works, starts up with a prompt w/ the ability to switch users. Suspend from gdm appears to do very little, monitor shuts off, HD light flashes. Hibernate gives an authentication failure. -- As suggested, we can remove hibernate from gdm, but suspend seems to function.

Confirmed (sort of). Looks like gdm 2.14.10 fixed my suspend problem (see https://launchpad.net/distros/ubuntu/+source/gdm/+bug/50703) I don't normally hibernate, but when I tried it (from the login options menu) I get the "authentication failed" message as mentioned above. Yleeyas -- Suspend
