I'll be damned, it is that way in hardy. first thing I do is disable
mount icons on the desktop. hadn't noticed, sorry for the bogus report.

yes it's the intended behaviour, it means that the share will be
available in any applications during the session and it's working this
way since hardy

Its the intended behavior to automatically mount a share when simply
browsing network shares? And it was intentionally added for the new
release?
