just wanted to say thanks. I finally came onto a diagnostic and way to solve
the log jam that evolved trying to install Ubuntu Studio 8.10 from 8.04.1; the

mozilla thunderbird email also fails to receive emails which I need to
work around this bug. for me there is no worse annoyance... that is
knowing perhaps only you/I have need to correct an error but everything
I try fails to work. if I knew a way to show problems found via
terminal, I'd do that.
thanks Marc, I misunderstood the instruction. I meant to be telling
that I felt by not being able to keep my OS up to date, there's a
chance my PC remains at risk of virus attacks until I take a measure
to have an updating OS. thanks again! Kenneth
