I want to use ubuntu as main OS but i can't with this issue.
I have tested many linux distros (ubuntu, fedora, opensuse, mint,sabayon) but
the bug exists in all of them.
Recently i found that pc-bsd distro (and other bsd distros) can suspend and

I have try the lucid alpha3 (2.6.32-14.20 kernel). The same results
again. Suspend seem to be ok but never wake up.

I'm the original reporter. The bug appear yet in the same laptop.
My laptop start the standby mode correctly, but when I try wakeup it simply all
turn off. (sorry for my english)

Please, can you confirm that your hardware is also the same as the
original reporter?
Sometimes, depending on the country, same laptop has diferent commercial
names, but yours seems to be a MSI (Micro Star International) and not an
LG.
