ny difference. Using "open in external
browser" has the same problem; it still opens in the current tab.
Configuring left-click has the same problem.
Are there any workarounds for this? This really interrupts my daily news
reading sessions. :-(

Thanks for reporting this bug! Your bug seems to be a problem with the KDE
program itself, and not with our KDE packages. But don't worry! This issue is
being tracked by the KDE developers at:

When I want to read an article in a tab and open it via a mouse click, the tab
