I've just tested the Lucid beta live-cd. It is still rebooting. However,
Samsung has released a new BIOS (09LI ) recently and that's worth
testing. If there just would be a way to upgrade it without Windows...

I've the same problem with a Samsung SA11 Notebook.
Bootable with acpi=off or mem=4096 but then only 3GB are available.
Duplicates seem to be: #367891 and #296941

Xorg reboot problem is gone after updating BIOS to latest version (08LI).
Unfortunately, that required installing Windows just to launch executable file
of BIOS updater that Samsung provides :(
