To assist in resolving this issue, please attach your xorg.conf, Xorg.0.log, and the output of 'xrandr --verbose' . Further, Xubuntu 9.04 is no longer supported. Can you reproduce this in the latest stable version, Xubuntu 10.10? If you can reproduce this in 10.10 and supply the missing information
