Here is the doc I'm trying to modify.
You just copy the first Euro (€) symbol and do a CTRL-V on any Euro word
below.
You should see the symbol replacing the first two letters and the end of
the Euro word still showing after the Paste.

Thank you for such a quick answer.
I had to find how to go back to non-proprietary drivers (couldn't
remember...) and try to reproduce the bug and I did :-(
It looks like the nvidia graphics driver (173.14.12-1-0ubuntu5.1) is not
the culprit in this case

This worked fine for me, can you reproduce this problem when not using
the 'nvidia' graphics driver? It is known to have many problems.
