I opened this bug some time ago.
In ubuntu 10.04 *the problem is solved*, I can connect perfectly with ISP
Ancel and huawei modem.

I am using a Huawei E220 3G modem on the Optus network in Australia.
I recently upgraded to Ubuntu 9.04 and after a couple of weeks I noticed that
the mobile broadband was not working. (I only use it occasionally, usually I am
on an ADSL connection)

I am having the same problem with a Vodafone Huawei K3565 USB modem in
the UK. I can ping www.google.com but I can not connect via Firefox. It
does not help when I set the DNS manually using OpenDNS addresses, when
I do, it disconnects immediately.

database." These settings are correct. The problem is with DNS. The
program erase or change it for others.

only way to fix it is to manually enter the DNS in / etc / resolv.conf
and then make a chattr + i / etc / resolv.conf. The connection
