Actually the whole problem also occurs when saving as odt. Might be the
fault of the KDE3 dialog to choose the file.

Which box would that be? I don't see one on my system, can you tell me
exactly where you see it and/or include a screenshot of it?

Yes the problem still occurs with the new version. Of course only as
long as the box for automatic file extension is ticked.
