I've just compiled it from source, and gnash 0.8.5 is the only version with which youtube works on my netbook. Before that I had to rely on the non-free flash plugin package, which now thanks Gnu I'm free from. Being able to run youtube videos has to be a very strong point in favor of packaging 0.8

I've tested one of the latests svn build few days before the 0.8.5 release and I'm supprised how it works. It's already great. It works a lot better than Adobe Flash Plugin in Konqueror. I can watch youtube videos (and navigate there, too), watch flash banners and advertisers, use flash menus on th
