Forcing the pciehp module to load isn't a solution in Jaunty, as it's
not a module anymore:

Just noticed this bug while downloading the Jaunty netbook remix.
I'd like to point out that I had this same problem on my AspireOne under Fedora
10.
I fixed the issue by forcing the loading of the 'pcihp' module on bootup, my

My Acer ONE will not read media cards either. If I reboot to the
earlier edition they will work. Neither of the card readers will work
with the latest Jaunty 9.04 (2009-04-23) I assume that I now have the
regular Jaunty as I unpgraded from the Beta this morning.

I am running the latest version of Jaunty and neither card reader is hot
pluggable for me on my Aspire One.

Jaunty beta. All updates to 2000h GMT.
Left-hand card reader shows media in duplicate (right-hand menu) with no
unmount icon. Of these, only one instance 'works' i.e. opens nautilus.
Right-hand card reader still not hot-pluggable, most be booted with card
in situ. BUT only single menu item on men
sd card in either slot doesn't automount and cannot read whether booted
with or without card.
