Kubuntu better. The KDE3 version of KNetworkManager has been
discontinued by its original authors. This unfortunately means that
there will be no more bugfix releases, and updates in general will be
limited to those fixing securit
After kubuntu update on 5 April the network manager shows one instance
of my network and still automatically connects and shows 'No active
connection'. If I want to see the signal strength I still have to go
through a manual rejoin of the network. A rather cosmetic issue but no
sign of a fix?

Continuing from my previous post, I have found a way to change the line that
says 'No active connection'
If I left-click on the network manager tray icon I get a list of access points.
I click my own AP and in the resulting 'Add network connection' dialog window

After latest update today my Knetworkmanager display has changed. I can see one
instance of my wireless access point (and two others near me). On interface
eth1 it says 'Connected' and on the next line there is 'No active connection'.
