/etc/cloud/build.info has the info on what image this was, but at this point
that is of very little use.

This would better fit in cluod-utils i think.
For the record, information about the image is available in
/etc/cloud/build.info .
arch and ec2 id (AMI?) would best be obtained from the metadata service.
