today I upgraded from 8.10 to 9.04 but now 32bit, and have this error mesage:

I just updated ubuntu , and checked again:

checkbox-gtk:
Installed: 0.7.1
Candidate: 0.7.1
now it works :)

@Christopher: Not sure what you're referring to with your Compiz
comment.
@arky: Sounds like you might have fallen foul of the DBus/Config errors,
which are fixed in 0.7.1. Please ensure you have this version and re-
test.
@sfn: Can you upgrade to 0.7.1, then retest with the following command
and

After deleting ~/.checkbox the checkbox runs all the tests. Don't thing
its much of a problem.

Checked checkbox 0.7
It works with out any errors. When started it shows two screens only. One main
system testing menu and when you click next
it will build the report and ask to provide email address so that it can submit
the report. I guess there is a pre-built report lying somewhere on the d
System Testing works now with the latest checkbox update. I successfully
sent a report.
Compiz still missing from Preferences.
