I can both install the packages and compile just fine from 8.10. What
version of Ubuntu are you using? Are there any particular packages that
are listed as "broken", or any other details in the error message?

Also after complete system update when trying to build easystroke
depedencies with sudo apt-get build-dep easystroke I get;;;
E: Build-dependencies for easystroke could not be satisfied.
Something has changed and easytstroke does not work fully without the
required dependencies
