I have started with ubuntu 5.04 livecd several times and always work fine. I
don't have now higher versions to try with, but i am sure that 6.04 and also
6.10 works too. The problem starts with 7.04, i think. And it could be not
an ubuntu bug, with last fedora also happens.

Hi.
Since it has developed recently it could still be a hardware problem. Try using
an old version that you know worked. If it works in an older version of a
distro then it is a bug, otherwise it could still be a hardware fault.

With older versions of ubuntu (and other linux ones), it works fine. Maybe
some change in the keyboard detection or so. I remember that it works well
in dapper and fedora 8, suse 10. After that, recently i have launched the
newer fedora livecd and fails. In windows never fail.

Hi,
Does they keyboard stop working at random times in Windows, or does it
work without any problem?
Are you sure this is not a hardware problem? It could be the keyboard
plug, or the connection to the motherboard. Try another keyboard, and
see if that solves the problem.
