I have started with ubuntu 5.04 livecd several times and always work fine. I don't have now higher versions to try with, but i am sure that 6.04 and also 6.10 works too. The problem starts with 7.04, i think. And it could be not an ubuntu bug, with last fedora also happens. 2009/2/22 ciaran.mooney

Hi. Since it has developed recently it could still be a hardware problem. Try using an old version that you know worked. If it works in an older version of a distro then it is a bug, otherwise it could still be a hardware fault. CiarĂ¡n -- my ps/2 keyboard isn't recognized randomly https://bu

With older versions of ubuntu (and other linux ones), it works fine. Maybe some change in the keyboard detection or so. I remember that it works well in dapper and fedora 8, suse 10. After that, recently i have launched the newer fedora livecd and fails. In windows never fail. 2009/2/21 ciaran.moo

Hi, Does they keyboard stop working at random times in Windows, or does it work without any problem? Are you sure this is not a hardware problem? It could be the keyboard plug, or the connection to the motherboard. Try another keyboard, and see if that solves the problem. Ciaran ** Changed in:
