This bug report is being closed due to your last comment regarding this
being fixed with a reboot. If you run that script and update whenever
you power on your laptop like you described I am surprised that you
never had other iss
After a restart my trackpoint and upper mouse buttons are working again,
but should the bug be closed because I don't think I should have ever
lost the ability to use a piece of hardware.
