Call it dumb luck, but I haave stable Paltalk without downloading a
bunch of windows stuff. I installed Google's Chrome browser for linux.
Then I opened Paltalk Express and it worked! I'm running 9.10 with
mplayer and Flash 10. I'm not sure how it works, but it does.

Many thanks for ur detialed answer. i agree with you. that it is highly
dependant on java and most of the time it gets problem on ubuntu. nevethe
less i am thankful to u for ur support .

Paltalk doesn't work 100 percent perfectly, with it's heavy reliance
upon java.. When I first attempt to open http://express.paltalk.com/
Firefox acts like this page has full focus, it won't let me click any
other previous tabs, Finally after about 1 minute and 8 seconds I get
the paltalk
thanks for the reply. but even after installing ubuntu restricted extras
wheni try to open paltalk express the screen becomes balack. and i can not
see anything. do u know how cani handle that.

I was able to join a room, see a person's webcam, couldn't hear any
voices at the time, but other sounds were working, I went and played a
game of billiards with others. I don't have an upgraded account, and it
is still Beta...

Thanks for reporting this bug and contributing to ubuntu. If you go to
http://express.paltalk.com/ and sign up for this beta site, it is
buggy... I did and was asked to install a JRE newer than 1.4 see the
attachment. I have installed ubuntu-restriced-extras and now most of the
content works for me
