This bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in
it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue? Can you try
with the latest development release of Ubuntu? ISO CD images are

I think that Alsa v1.0.19 can resolve this bug : http://www.alsa-
project.org/main/index.php/Changes_v1.0.18_v1.0.19#HDA_Intel_driver
Medion MD96630 has ALC268 codec on slot#2 although it's not used
for any purpose. This codec conflicts with the primiary codec ALC888
on slot#
