3.7.0 has just been uploaded to Debian experimental. I doubt that 3.7.0
will move to unstable until after Lenny is released. We have also merged
this package from Debian experimental in the past. As a result, I think
it would be fine if you prepared a debdiff to merge this package from
Debian.

The current version of claws-mail that we have in Ubuntu is from Debian
experimental. Currently, Debian does not have version 3.7.0. However,
the Debian Maintainer for claws-mail appears to be active. I would
suggest contacting the Debian Maintainer about getting version 3.7.0
into Debian. That way
